Movies in ETV are generally old

I am an admirer of old films, I have to say. The ETV is my best destination. The fellow at Maa TV once played Athadu for almost 3 months back to back for no less than 9 sundays and still he never thought of playing the old movies. The Gemini fellow is too busy in playing advertisements for the new soaps that are gonna come on the channel and the other channels are unconcerned. But ETV has quality in his content. He never just makes a bad one, just unnecessary ones. All of the films made by Usha Kiron Movies are very much adult oriented, though not fully so, but his TV channel is all too serene. The reality shows he plays are too very bland, and require some serious thought. But the old movies he plays makes him my favorite most times, despite all these shortcomings. The beauty of the old beast is to be appreciated and I would applaud it for long and so my family. Good luck ETV, for your old movies only though!

Yes! Surrender unto the lord and he does everything. This doesn't mean you dont do anything. It means that you do everything as a service to him and you dont think of personal aggrandizement. This is the way in which you can keep yourself pure and peaceful, is what Lord Krishna meant. Such a superior personality advices us and if we dont follow, we are meant to meet doom on the highway of materiality. Always remember, there has to be ways in which you must be able to process requests of your mind following his teachings. This will be possible only if you train your intelligence to go above the simplistic mentalities of general and mediocre people around you. This will help you, follow what Lord Krishna says and be happy. And, you will need a true devotee's guidance for all these, so pray to Lord Krishna and he will take you to His true devotee. There are ogranizations like the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) where you can find peace until then and there you might meet your spiritual master too!

Hyderabad gears up for another major strike by TRS - Sadak Bandh

There is a strike - Sadak Bandh - that is happening today in Hyderabad by a local party by name, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS). The TRS plans to block all passages in and out of the city of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh and a rising locale on the global arena. However, the government has other plans. The TRS was not given any permission by the government to hold the strike. But the leaders of TRS remained adamant and said that the strike would continue whether or not the government gives them the permission. With tensions developing in the region, scores of policemen were deployed at all strategic gateways in and out of the city to ensure that the commuters are not affected. It so happens that the Chief Minister of the State of Andhra Pradesh, in an emotional mood, said that the region of Telangana would not be given a single rupee, if the Telangana leaders of the TRS start to blackmail them with force. The TRS created a ruckus on the issue of such comments by the Chief Minister as if they have been waiting for the Chief Minister to lose control and make an emotional statement. The Member of Parliament of the TRS party also seem to take part in the protest against the local government's disapproval of the Telangana movement and two days back, they sought to disrupt the proceedings in the Parliament of India on the issue. It appears as if everyone is concerned. Somehow there is no solution arising. I am starting to wonder why! Probably the sincerity of the TRS party and the credibility of the government are both to be blamed.

DMK out of UPA-II and stalin gets raided!

This is the sorry state of affairs in the country of India. India is a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic. But as we all know India is being ruled by a family, the infamous Nehru dynasty aka the pseudo-Gandhian. The prince of the family is notoriously famous for being the person destined to be the Prime Minister of India. Amidst the entire ruckus surrounding the way in which the family clings onto power, there is a whole new dimension that seems to be dawning. Government keeps control of the most powerful investigation bureau in the country, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and controls other political parties, the heads of which having committed heinous crimes. Any party that does not abide by the ruling party’s code of conduct is sure to face serious consequences. This seems to be what is presently happening with the recent rebel, DMK, challenging the government’s stance on UNHRC resolution against Sri Lanka for the alleged war crimes during its territorial fight against LTTE. The CBI was quick to respond with raids being carried out on the DMK supremo's political heir, Mr. Stalin in Chennai. Will there be an end to this sort of dirty politics? I think time only will answer!

Plants dont grow under moonlight, why?

To my surprise, there doesn't seem to be a way in which plants can be grown under moonlight. Well light is light, after all, right. So why doesn't plants grow in moonlight? I do not understand. I've tried to get this answer from people, but I was not very serious. But at a point of time, I would definitely like to know why this doesn’t happen. After all, people say that the moonlight is a reflection of sunlight, so why doesn't it happen so that plants undergo photosynthesis during night time? Because there is light from the moon, why should there be rest to plans at night? It's definitely compelling to think this way, but somehow no one seems to know the answer, at least according to me. So I would like to throw this question to my readers!
